Race Rainout for Saturday’s Advance Auto Parts Race Night at The Oval at Houston Motorsports Park
Houston, TX (September 25, 2019) Due to a weekend forecast of 50% chance of rain at Weather.com, the Advance Auto Parts Race Night scheduled for this Saturday, September 28 is cancelled.
Gina Schild Knowles, General Manager for the Texas Short Track Racing Series, says “Of course it’s a tough call when it comes to Houston weather. We wanted to give our fans and race teams as much notice as possible to adjust their plans, especially since the area is recovering from the devastation caused by Tropical Storm Imelda, and there’s a good chance more rain is on the way. We look forward to seeing everyone at the next asphalt race, Advance Auto Parts OctoberFast at The Oval at Houston Motorsports Park, Saturday, October 19 – just three weeks away!”
Plan now to come out and enjoy a nice autumn night under the stars! This family-friendly event will feature eight racing classes, including: Pro Trucks, Pro Modifieds, Outlaws, Eco Stocks, NASKarts and Super Stocks, plus Allison Legacy, as well as a checkered flag giveaway, free face painting for the kids, and $2 Bud Light cans.
See all the action at 11620 N Lake Houston Pkwy, Saturday, October 19 - Gates open at 4pm; Heat races kick off at 5pm, Intermission and Features start at 7pm.
