BETHEL, NY – With the guaranteed drawing date quickly approaching, Bethel Motor Speedway has announced that there are still tickets available for the brand new Legends car that is being raffled off to benefit the track’s Young Racers Program. Tickets are $100 each, and no more than 200 tickets will be sold. The drawing will be held no later than February 26, 2011.
Bethel Motor Speedway’s Young Racers Program has aided in the growth in the number of young drivers who compete at the speedway weekly. The track’s 2010 Bandolero champion, Mikey Policastro, is among the growing group of drivers who participate in the program. As part of the program, drivers have access to mentors, workshops, and more. They are encouraged to set personal goals and track their progress as they transform from novice drivers to skilled competitors. Interested drivers and parents can email legendstockny@yahoo.com to get information on becoming part of the Young Racers Program.
“We successfully raffled off a car in 2010, which was won by Long Islander Glenn Dixon,” stated Bethel Motor Speedway Business Operations Manager Tracy Chirico. “By taking the proceeds of the raffle and investing them in the Young Racers Program, we are contributing to the future of motorsports, both at Bethel Motor Speedway and on a much larger scale as well. The young drivers are the future of the sport we all love.”
The car that is being raffled off has a retail value of $12,995., and is a complete race-ready car. Legends are a spec racing series designed to provide an affordable class for drivers of all ages. More information about Legends racing can be found online at www.uslegendcars.com.
