BETHEL ANNOUNCES 50TH ANNIVERSARY CONTEST

January 17, BETHEL, NY - When the gates swing open on the 2010 racing season at Bethel Motor Speedway, a historic milestone for the track will be reached, marking 50 years since the inaugural season at the 1/4-mile paved oval. In conjunction with this, the track has announced its "50th Anniversary Contest", aimed at involving fans in the celebration.
To take part in the contest, participants should submit to the speedway their favorite memory from the track, from any period of time in the track's operation. All entries will be posted on the track's web site at www.bethelmotorspeedway.com, and will be included in an online "Nostalgia Scrapbook". It is requested that all entries be limited to 100 words or less.
Once the racing season is underway, a group of finalists will be chosen from all of the submitted entries. Web site visitors will then be able to vote for their favorite from the list of finalists. The person who submits the entry which receives the greatest number of votes will be rewarded with two complimentary grandstand passes good for any event at Bethel Motor Speedway, and will get to give the command to "Start your engines" at the prestigious SportsmanStock 2010 event, slated for August 7th.
Entries should be emailed to tracy.chirico@bethelmotorspeedway.com, and should include "Bethel Memories" in the subject line. Contact information must be included so that finalists can be notified.
