Oglethorpe Speedway Park Changes for 2018

Since 1951 Oglethorpe Speedway Park has been running races of all types on the fast half mile surface, with a Winter Go Kart series during December, January, and Febuary. As of November 13, 2017 changes have begun.
We are building a new Kart track at the facility that will be separate from the big track for year round Kart racing, and also reconfiguring the big track. What has been 1/2 mile for so many years will now become a 3/8 paperclip style red clay surface. Changing the configuration will allow for smaller versions of cars, trucks, etc... to participate safely as well as allow other cars from other 3/8 mile tracks to travel to Pooler and have fun without major changes in set up.
We will be updating our website, Facebook, and free APP as we get closer to completion and as soon as we can definately say what a starting date for 2018 will be, we will post a 2018 schedule..
