Newport Speedway Announces 2017 Schedule

Newport Speedway announced their 2017 season schedule today. The "East Tennessee Bullring" will see over 20 weeks of racing including three visits by the Southeast Super Truck series and a race for the Southeast Limited Late Models touring series.
2016 was a rocky one for the track, lots of time and hours were put into getting the track into working order from being closed for nearly 2 years, so their season got a late start and then near the latter part of the year, several weeks of racing were cancelled after a horrific Southeast Super Trucks crash damaged the turn 2 wall and catch fence. This year, however the track staff is ready to go and put on a great season of exciting racing for the people of the Smokies and Western North Carolina.
