Southern Raceway hosts SECS Late Models!

Southern Raceway once again welcomes the South Eastern Crate Series Late Models to MIlton, Fl. Series regulars battle it out for points positions, and others visit the track to get some laps in preperation for a $10,000 to WIN 100 lap Crate race scheduled for Novemeber.
With the 2014 SECS Season winding down the Series visits the 3/8 mile oval for one of it's last visits before the Season Championship Race happens there on September 6th.
With the top two in Championship points just one point apart, and points paid by finishing position every pass means more now than ever before.
Cody Smith's 3 car has enjoyed holding the points lead for most of the Season but a recent string of bad luck has dropped Him to second behind asphalt convert Ryan Crane. Crane has been steady in his TrackStar Race car #10 entry and it's paying off.
Southern Raceway's regular weekly classes are all in action as well when the Vintage Stars, Modifieds, NESMITH Street Stock, and Pure Stock cars take to the track to battle it out.
"It should be interesting." Said Track Promoter Jay D. Wells "We have the regular Series cars and toss in a few cars coming to test under race conditions for the November show. This could shake up the points a bunch."
The SECS points system awards points matching finishing position, 1 for 1st, 2 for 2nd, and so on. Visitiors could take valuable points from regualr competitors with just four races left on the schedule.
