UPIR Ice Races February 9th
UPIR Ice Racing returns to the 1/3 mile ice track at the Escanaba fairgrounds on Saturday, February 9th. Racers from young to old will tear up the ice with their race machines. Racing begins at 5:00 PM EST and pits open at 3:00 PM EST. Pit passes for all ages are $15 and general admission is $5, with 12 and under free. There is no race fee and the pit pass covers all classes a racer registers in. Studded and non-studded quads, cars, motorcycles and sprints will race, along with the popular Run What Ya Brung class. Rules of Great Lakes Ice Racing and the M & M Ice Breakers will be followed. No points will be awarded and no payouts. Trophies will be awarded to feature winners.
Spectators may watch racing action from the grandstands or in their vehicles between turns 1 and 2 outside of the track. Concessions will be available. No carry ins are allowed. Call Tom Dubord at 906-399-7760 with questions.
