Repairs to the Putnam County Speedway in Satsuma, Florida are nearing completion and the roar of the engines will soon be a pleasant reminder of the fast dirt track action the speedway is famous for. The Labor Day weekend, with all of the dirt track racing around the country, has reinvigorated the staff with more determination than ever to get through the permitting stage and on to racing. Over the last four months Putnam Racing Group, LLC. has made significant improvements to the track and the speedway grounds; including much needed repairs to the concessions and bathrooms, renovating the pit office and payout facilities, and revamping the race track surface, including upgrading the exits and entrances to the track. Within the next few weeks we will be installing recently calibrated scales in the tech area and completing some landscaping around victory lane. We anticipate having final permit approvals from the local health department and the Department of Professional Business Regulation within the next 4-5 weeks.

The new management team at PCS is not just a good'ole boy group of racers. We have seasoned business executives and track personnel attached to a seasoned racing management staff. Our Racing Manager, Benny Stevenson, has been managing racing for over 25 years. Our scorers Sue Rhone and Linda Peavy have over 30 years experience scoring at Daytona International Speedway and other venues, and our Concessions Manager Myra Cook is ANSI Certified with over 20 years of concessions management experience.

In addition to Saturday night racing, we have several special events being scheduled for the remainder of 2012 including Scott Hartsock's Monster Truck Jam, a flat track motorcycle race and Top Gun Sprints Series Racing. We look forward to seeing you at the track again soon.
