Hanover, PA (09/12/12) – Although the 2012 racing season has a little over a month left, there is still a wide variety of action packed races left on the schedule!

This Friday, September 14th, is the 30-lap Hoosier Tire Mid-Atlantic 358 Sprints, Trone Outdoor Championship, paying $2,000 to the winner. Also on the schedule will be the Madison House East Xtreme Stocks and the Starlite Limited Stocks. The following day, Saturday, September 15th, the AMA sanctioned flat track motorcycles will be racing under the lights for the first time in 2012.

The final Friday night point’s race for the Hoosier Tire Mid-Atlantic 358 Sprint Cars, Madison House East Xtreme Stocks and the Starlite Limited Stocks will be Friday, September 21st. The following day, Saturday the 22nd, will be the 23rd Annual Kevin Gobrecht Memorial/National Open, featuring the 600 & 270 Micro Sprints and the 1000cc Sidewinder Sprints all racing for an increased purse.

One of the year’s most anticipated events will take place on Friday, September 28th, when the All-Star National Flat Track Pro Series motorcycle race visits the 1/3rd mile oval on the farm as part of the White Rose Thunder weekend. This will be the inaugural running of the Armin Hostetter Classic, to honor the man who started it all, 40 years ago. This will be the only Pennsylvania appearance of the AMA flat trackers on the short track this year.

Saturday, September 29th, is the re-scheduled junk car demolition derby race from August 4th. Also on the card is the Miller’s Fall Classic qualifier for the 4-Cylinders, the Limited Stocks, Scramble Cars, Figure 8, and Powder Puff.

Our last Friday race will be held October 5th, when Trail-Way hosts “Thunder on the Farm: The 2nd Annual Mike Zeigler Memorial,” for the 358 Limited Late Models, with $2,121 going to the winner. The Limited Stocks, Xtreme Stocks, and the only 2012 appearance of the Street Stocks and Thundercars are also on the schedule.

The final race of the year is Saturday, October 20th, for the Kart Klassic. This year end money race brings over 500 of the fastest karters in the Northeast to one of the fastest tracks they race on all year.

The final on-track event at Trail-Way Speedway is Saturday, October 27th, for chassis day. Drivers wishing to try a different class of race car may choose from several factory cars to test at the track. This helps drivers who might want to change divisions for the 2013 racing season.

Don’t forget to mark your calendar for the 40th Annual Awards Banquet, December 1st at S.A.V.E.S. (Southeastern Adams Volunteer Emergency Services Hall) in McSherrystown, Pa.

Finally, don’t forget to mark on your schedule the 35th Annual Motorama Races and Shows, February 16th and 17th at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex in Harrisburg, Pa.
