Holtgraver, Pegher and Blair Score Wins Before Mother Nature

The Midwest All Star Series Sprints had Pittsburgh PA's Danny Holtgraver win his 4th career PPMS feature. Holtgraver dominated the 21 lap feature , taking the lead on lap one and weather two cautions to win by a straightaway of PPMS' all time leading sprint winner Ed Lynch Jr. Andy McKisson was third followed by Jack Sodeman Jr., Brandon Spithaler, Brandon Matus, Eric Williams, Brian Steinman, Brent Matus and Adam Anderson. The heats had Ed Lynch Jr., and Danny Holtgraver pick up wins with Holtgraver also winning the dash. Ed Lynch Jr. set fast time of 16.288.

Brougher's Machine Shop Fastrak Pro Late Model Crates, Wexford PA's Mike Pegher Jr. won his 4

th win of the season in a runaway. Pegher, who started 7th, grabbed the lead on lap 4 from early leader Kyle Lukon and defeated Josh Holtgraver who just beat Tommy Schirnhofer in a photo finish for second. Colton Flinner was a strong fourth followed by Ron Hall, Mike Reft, Steve Beatty (who picked up the K&N Persistent Performer Award), Kyle Lukon, Nico Dabecco, and Ken Chernik. Colton Flinner and Nico Dabecco won the heats.

The Hoosier Tire Mid-Atlantic DIRTcar Super Late Models were rained out after two laps in the books, with Jared Miley leading over Keith Barbara and Steve Baker. The feature will be made up at a later date. The heats fell to Alex Ferree and Keith Barbara.

The Imperial Heights Garage Young Guns had Pittsburgh PA's Bernie Blair win his second feature of the season. Blair took the lead on lap 4 from Logan Crewl and beat Christian Schneider, Crewl, Adam Carson, Roman O'Neil and Courtney Chamberlain. Point leader Todd Weldon hit the wall in hot laps and did not run the feature.

The Sunoco Race Fuels Late Model Sportsman was rained out and will be run at a later date. Pat Weldon won the heat.

Miley BP Car Wash Hobby Stocks feature was also rained out and will be run at a later date. Joe Podolinsky took the heat win.

Upcoming at PPMS on July 7, it's NAPA Driver Autograph Night, plus a Fastrak Tour Sizzler, and a complete regular show, plus the World Famous Army Field Band will be on hand before the races to entertain the fans. July 14 it will be Berks and Nickels $1 Hot Dog Night plus a hot dog eating contest, the Vintage Modifieds will be on hand, and a Wacky Wheels Figure 8 race and a complete regular show. Regular shows consist of Super Late Models, Fastrak Pro Late Models, Late Model Sportsman, Hobby Stocks, and Young Guns. Effective for the remainder of the season, in the event of any Saturday rainout the management will utilize a Sunday evening raindate. Times for the Sunday evening will start 1 hour earlier, with Gates opening at 4:00PM, Hot Laps at 5:00PM, and Racing at 6:00PM.
