Imperial PA's Mike Johnson picked up his first win in two seasons in the Hoosier Tire Mid-Atlantic DIRTcar Super Late Models. Johnson took the lead at the start from the outside pole, but a caution came out quickly for Jayme Beck who tagged the front straight wall on lap two while running fifth. On the restart Johnson pulled out front, with Alex Ferree, Daryl Charlier, Lynn Geisler and Mike Norris battling for position. While Johnson began to open up a lead, all eyes were on the battle for second as Ferree and Charlier battles lap after lap for second, with Geisler and Norris doing the same for 4th. Jared Miley fell back at the start but came on as the race wore on and joined Geisler and Norris in the battle for 4th. Miley and Norris moved by Geisler and began to battle with each other, while Charlier and Ferree were still were at it for second while Johnson maintained a comfortable lead in first. By lap 20 Johnson was in first with Ferree, Charlier, Miley and Norris behind. At the checker, it was Johnson, with Ferree just nipping Charlier at the line, followed by Miley, Norris, and Geisler, last week's winner Kari Gasser, Ben Miley, Tony Musolino and Jim Stephans. Kari Gasser also picked up the Awesome Designs Hard Charger and K&N Persistent Performer Awards. Jared Miley and Daryl Charlier picked up the heats.
The Brougher's Machine Shop Pro-Late Model Fastrak Crate feature saw Wexford PA's Mike Pegher Jr. grab his 15
15th career PPMS feature and second in a row and third of the season. Justin Lamb grabbed the lead at the start and led the first three laps before Josh Holtgraver took over. Holtgraver led lap 4 and 5 before a big wreck involving 6 cars on lap 5 brought out the red flag. Laura Longbrake, making her first start of the season, got the worst of it, along with Brian Goebel, who both went off on two wreckers. Everyone else was able to restart. On the restart, Mike Pegher, Jr., who started 11th overtook Holtgraver and pulled away from the field. Meanwhile Andrew Satterlee made a charge thru the field and moved into the top 5 from 12th by lap 11. On lap 15 the top five were Pegher, Holtgraver, Tommy Schirnhofer Jr., Satterlee and Lamb. On lap 16 Bryant Hank who was running ninth spun, bringing out a caution. Then on lap 17, Scott Schempp spun bringing out another caution. Pegher was able to pull away on the restart with Satterlee now in the top 4. On lap 19 the caution came out for Steve Beatty who spun in turn 4 while running 5th. Pegher pulled out on the restart, with Satterlee in second and Tommy Schirnhofer, Jr. in third. Schirnhofer got by Satterlee on the last lap so the finish was Pegher, Schirnhofer, Satterlee, Colton Flinner, Kyle Lukon, Josh Holtgraver, Beau Glemba (also picked up the K&N Persistent Performer Award), Nico Dabecco, Justin Lamb, and Ron Hall. The three heats went to Andrew Satterlee, Tom Schirnhofer and Ron Hall took the checkers for the 25 cars on hand.
The Sunoco Race Fuels Sportsman Late Models McKees Rocks PA's Jake Simmons grabbed his 51
st win of his career and 5th of the season. Pat Weldon grabbed the lead at the start, and led Nick Kocuba for the first part of the race. Simmons worked into second, from 8th and slowly moved in on Weldon making his winning move on lap 13. At the checker it was Simmons, Weldon, Kocuba, Dave Slade, Josh Langer, Vince Laboon, Jarrod Westover, and Jenn Barker. The K&N Persistent Performer was Jarrod Westover. Jake Simmons won the heat.
In the Miley BP Car Wash Hobby Stocks, Tyler Fox Pittsburgh PA won his second feature in a row. Fox took the lead lap 8 of the event when leader Eric Goldberg got two flats and was forced to pit. Ed Wiser was second followed by Joe Podolinsky, Chase Evans, Goldberg, and Steve Pyeritz. Ed Wiser was the K&N Persistent Performer. Gary Smith and Daniel White (in Hannah Ramsey's #14) did not start. Eric Goldberg won the heat.
th, the Topless 25 for the Fastrak Pro Late Models (where the cars will remove their roofs), and a Petting Zoo and Pony Rides for the kids at 5:00 PM, plus a complete regular show for the other divisions. On June 23 the Big Bad Boss Wingless 410 Sprints will be on hand plus a Sportsman Showdown, and a complete regular show. Regular shows consist of Super Late Models, Fastrak Pro Late Models, Late Model Sportsman, Hobby Stocks, and Young Guns. Effective for the remainder of the season, in the event of any Saturday rainout the management will utilize a Sunday evening raindate. Times for the Sunday evening will start 1 hour earlier, with Gates opening at 4:00PM, Hot Laps at 5:00PM, and Racing at 6:00PM. For more info on PPMS Schedule see the website http://www.ppms.com/

The Imperial Heights Garage Young Guns saw Bernie Blair Jr. Pittsburgh, PA picked up his first win of the season. Blair was followed by Logan Crewl, Todd Weldon, and Adam Carson (also the K&N Persistent Performer.
The Wacky Wheels Figure 8's had McKees Rocks PA's Jake Simmons making the evening a double win night by taking the main. Joe Podolinsky was second followed by Ian Tomei, Sam McGervey, Bad Habit Monster Truck Driver Joe Sylvester, and Josh Langer.
Fans were entertained by the Bad Habit Monster Truck at intermission.
On a sad note, Nick Nadik, Sr. Oakdale, PA passed away on June 5. Nadik, who owns a garage in nearby Imperial, was a fixture in the infield with his wrecker since the track was opened in 1979. Nadik also owned and was involved with cars back in the old Heidelberg/PRA days. He will be missed.
