South Arcade Speedway Pure Stock Stampede on Tap July 23, Two Big Races Added For August

Delevan, N.Y. – South Arcade Speedway returns to action with the fourth of six 2011 shows on Saturday July 23, as Wix Filters presents the 100 Nights Of Racing Bonus show featuring the Pangrazio-Mac ToolsE-Mods, Schwab Aggregates Street Stocks, D&H Mini Horse Pull Team4 CylinderMini Stocks and the first annual Tractor Supply Company “Pure Stock Stampede” extra distance event. The night will conclude with an Enduro with the feature winner getting a guaranteed spot in the Black Rock Speedway Big One $10,000 to Win Enduro in November.
The Tractor Supply Company 25 lap $500 to win “Pure Stock Stampede” is made possible by the efforts of Pete Lounsbury of the Arcade store, Christina Caskey of the Olean store and Dan Creeley of the Springville store.
Each feature winner on July 23 will also receive a $100 gift certificate for Wix filters plus various Wix merchandise.
Spectator gates open at 5 pm with the first heat rolling off at 6 pm. Please note that the track has switched from Friday to Saturday night this year.
More details are coming out about the Outlaw Sportsman Modified special that has been added to the August 6 racing card. The track will utilize the same rules and pay the same purse as New York’s Raceway 5. The purse is posted on our website at www.southarcadespeedway.com/2011sportsman_purse_8_6_11.htm. The distance of the feature will be 25 laps and is open to all Sportsman (Crate and Open) Modified competitors. Starting positions will be determined by a Draw, Re-Draw format. Raceway 5 is closed on August 6 and there will be a test and tune session for the Sportsman Modifieds on race night. Sportsman Modified competitors are also welcomed to practice on July 23 as well.
On Saturday, August 27th, the 1st annual Street Stock Shootout extra distance event will be held. The 25 lap race will pay $500 to win and sponsorship of laps is available at only $10 per lap. Also, the Street Stock purse for a regular show has been increased up to a 45% depending on the number of cars entering competition. The speedway has clarified the Draw, Re-Draw format for all races remaining on the 2011 schedule. Some examples include 8 redrawing when there is 11-14 cars present, 9 or 10 (depending on number of heats) redrawing when there are 15-19 cars and 12 redrawing when there are more than 20. Please note that due to a schedule change, the last qualifier for the August 6 “King of the Mini Stocks” event will now be held on August 4 at McKean County Raceway. Lap sponsorship at $10 per lap is also available for the "King of the Mini Stocks" 25 lap feature.
Admission for adults on Saturday July 23 is only $10, while seniors (60+) get in for $9, students (10-15) are $5 and kids under 9 are admitted free.
