JTR ENTERPRISES TO BACK BETHEL BANDOS AGAIN IN 2011

(2/14/2011)

BETHEL, NY – As the temperatures show signs of beginning to warm, the news coming out of Bethel Motor Speedway is hot, as yet another division sponsor has committed to return to the quarter-mile asphalt oval for the 2011 season.

In 2010, JTR Enterprises came on board at Bethel as the division sponsor for the Bandoleros, a spec car division that is nationally sanctioned by INEX. The majority of drivers in the class are between the ages of eight and 16, but it is open to competition for drivers of any age.

Many of the drivers who compete in the Bandolero division at Bethel regularly are participants in the speedway’s Young Racers Program, which provides various types of support for young drivers who are getting into motorsports. The Bandolero champions in both 2009 and 2010 have been participants in the Young Racers Program.

“JTR Enterprises has been very supportive of the Bandolero program at Bethel, so we are extremely excited to be able to enter another year of partnering with them to further the division,” stated Bethel’s Business Operations Manager, Tracy Chirico. “Car counts in the class rose steadily in 2010, and we’re looking forward to building the class even more in the coming year, with the influx of new drivers serving as an indication of the bright future of short track racing on a local level and beyond.”

“We are proud to be supporters of this division,” stated Clarence Palmer of JTR Enterprises. “It’s rewarding to be able to back the young drivers who are just getting started, since we get to watch them grow and develop into more experienced drivers. There’s nothing like seeing the smile on a kid’s face when they get their first top five finish, win their first feature, and get their first championship.”

Bandoleros are on the schedule weekly for the 2011 season at Bethel, starting with open practice on April 23rd and Opening Night on April 30th. The growing division, which is also spotlighted as part of the track’s LegendStock event, drew a record number of competitors in 2010.

For the second consecutive season, Bandolero drivers will race free at Bethel Motor Speedway, as the support of companies such as JTR Enterprises and the contributions of the Young Racers Program make it possible for the speedway to waive the entry fee for these young competitors.

JTR Enterprises provides a wide variety of commercial and residential services, ranging from the construction of additions to whole-house construction. They also provide excavating and other services. The company is based out of Grahamsville, New York. For more information, call (845) 985-0125.

Bethel Motor Speedway, located just four miles from the site of the original Woodstock Music Festival in White Lake, New York, presents short track racing every Saturday night from late April until early October. Grandstand admission for all shows is just $5. The track will open for the 2011 season with a new racing surface, as more than 450 tons of asphalt were applied to the speedway in November.
