Keisler to be New ELS General Manager & Parker to Work with Ray Evernham Enterprises

(2/8/2011)

East Lincoln Speedway owners Ray Evernham & Bob Mack announced that Adam Keisler will be stepping in as the new General Manager of East Lincoln Speedway.  Shawn Parker will be working with Ray Evernham Enterprises to help market the new US Legends Modified dirt car.

Keisler, who worked under Ray Evernham at Evernham Motorsports, brings a strong racing background and a wealth of business experience to East Lincoln Speedway. He is a native of Conover, NC and holds a degree in Sports Management from NC State University.

“Adam started with me as an intern at Evernham Motorsports and worked his way up through the organization”, said Evernham.  “ He understands dirt racing and he understands the expectations Bob and I have for the East Lincoln Speedway.  I think he will be a great addition to our team”

“I am excited about the opportunity to work with Ray and Bob again”, said Keisler. “I have known both of them for a long time, and have a lot of respect for what they have been able to accomplish. East Lincoln is a great racetrack with great drivers, fans, and staff, and I look forward to getting to know everyone. My goal is to use my knowledge of dirt track racing as well as my local roots to continue to lead the track in a positive direction.”

With Keisler taking over the management duties of the racetrack, Shawn Parker will move to a role with Ray Evernham Enterprises.  His main duties will involve bringing the new US Legends Modified dirt car to market, but he will also continue to be involved with East Lincoln Speedway on a limited basis in a marketing & business development role.

“Shawn helped us move East Lincoln forward in 2010 and brought some new people and processes to the organization”, said Mack.   “Long term, Shawn really wants to be on the marketing side of the business so this new role supporting the launch of the new US Legends Modified is a great opportunity for him and it will allow him to support Adam through the transition.”

“I’ve enjoyed working with both Bob & Ray at East Lincoln Speedway over the last 11 months, and I appreciate the opportunity they gave me”, said Parker. “I’ve been around the development of the new US Legends Modified since the beginning, and I’m really looking forward to working with REE & the folks at US Legend Cars International to help make the launch of the car a success.”

This year will be the third year of operation under the ownership of Ray Evernham & Bob Mack. Since purchasing the track in late 2008, they have overseen various facility improvements including:  improved safety fencing,  improved fire safety equipment, new clay on the racing surface, the introduction of Raceceiver communications & refurbished bathrooms. 2011 will see additional improvements, and promises to be an exciting year at the Stanley, NC oval.
