The new TEO at Utica-Rome

The 2007 Bow Flex TEO

I have been around race cars since I was 11 years old. I first got into racing as a crew member on Drew Fallis's crew and spent almost 15 years there. We had some great seasons and some wins over that period of time. Drew took a couple years off of racing and I continued on moving over to the Quick Motorsports Team Piloted by the young Ricky Quick. We have had our ups and downs over the last 3 years that I've been here. This year has been a fun year so far with one win and many top 5's and top 10's.

Outside of racing I sell cars and trucks for O'Neill's Chevy Buick in Avon Ct... That's right.. Ct, That's where I reside. It's a long haul to the shop and the track, but once racing is in your blood, there's nothing you can do. I don't always get to the track every week because of work and travel time, but I get there almost every week.

Other than that, I live a pretty ordinary life with by beautiful girl friend Nicole and her 2 kids. I am a huge Miami Dolphins and NY Yankees fan and also a big Tony Stewart fan.. Enough about me... See ya at the track!

Scotia, NY - It has been an up and down month for the Quick Motorsports team. With driver Ricky Quick at the wheel, the team has been competing twice a week in two different Sportsman divisions.

On Saturday nights Quick has been a regular in the tough 358 Sportsman division. On Friday nights he has run in the DIRTcar Sportsman division at the Glen Ridge Motorsports Park – he utilizes a GM 602 Crate Engine there.

At Fonda, he has made three starts in the past month or so. He finished in the top ten all three times, bringing home finishes of 8th, 6th and 3rd respectfully. The third place finish took place this past Saturday night. Ricky started third and quickly moved to the lead. He led until lap 12 when power steering issues allowed the second and third place drivers to get past.

Following the racing action this past Saturday night Ricky sits third in the point standings, his best Track of Champions point’s effort to date.

Despite a fine second place finish and heat race win on June 4th, Quick has been struggling as of late at Glen Ridge. Besides the second place run, he has had 10th, 8th, 11th and 14th place runs over the past five weeks. He currently sits 11th in the point standings.

This weekend will see the Quick team back in action at both facilities.

Quick Enjoying A Top Ten Season

By Toby LaGrange for Quick Motorsports

Scotia, NY - It has been an up and down few weeks for the Quick Motorsports team. With pilot Ricky at the controls they have had a 3rd, a win, a DNF and an 8th in the past four events.

The third came on May 1st at the Fonda Speedway. Ricky started the night with a second place finish in his 358 Sportsman heat race – after starting fourth. The feature event would see him start second before finishing third.

On May 7th the Quick team returned to the Glen Ridge Motorsports Park with their DIRTcar GM Crate Sportsman. It was a great night for the team as Ricky earned his first win of the season and sixth career win. Quick earned the win when Jimmy Eaton crossed the finish line with an illegal racer.

Following a rain out at Fonda on May 8th, they once again returned to Glen Ridge on May 14th. It was a rough night for Ricky and crew. They started the feature in the 18th position after not qualifying well. Then on lap eight he was up to the eighth position when he was a victim.

“I started 18th and was up to about 8th in eight laps” Quick said. “Then Greg Pessolano slid up and hit me. The panhard bar broke which sent me into the front stretch wall”.

He was credited with a 22nd place finish – his worst of the season.

The racing for the team moved back to Fonda the following night where the results were much better. After qualifying fifth in his heat race, Quick started ninth in the 20 lap feature event. He ran a solid and steady race, staying in the top ten then entire time. On lap 15 he took the eighth position from Scot Straight – which is where he would finish.

Currently Ricky sits fifth in the Fonda Speedway 358 Sportsman point standings and 11th in the Glen Ridge Motorsports Park DIRTcar Sportsman point standings.

He also has earned three top five finishes and five top ten finishes in just eight starts at two tracks in three divisions. His average finish so far in 2010 is 10.75.

This weekend will see the Quick team back in action at both facilities.

The list of Sponsors for the 2010 season is impressive and includes: First National Bank of Scotia, All Seasons Equipment, Cliffs Body Shop, Giovanni’s Pizzeria, JSB Fabrication, Pattersonville Angus Farm, Renus Electric, Jumpin Jacks Pro Speed and new for 2010 Bilstein Shocks.
