With the start of the 2011 racing season just over two months away, East Lincoln Speedway management & Tech Director Keith Frye have been working hard to fine tune the 2011 rules.

"Since we initially posted our 2011 rules in early December, we have had a chance to speak with various racers & ELS officials to get feedback on some of our minor rule changes", said General Manager Shawn Parker. "As a result, we have decided to allow both radios & mirrors as we have in prior years. We will still require Raceceivers for all drivers. A revised set of 2011 Safety Rules has been posted to the ELSPEEDWAY.com website."

All drivers should read the safety rules carefully to make sure that their racecars comply with all 2011 Safety Rules. "All racecars & safety equipment will be thoroughly inspected prior to racing at ELS this year", said Tech Director Keith Frye. "If a driver's racecar does not meet our technical specifications, then they will not be allowed to race." 

After a productive Micro Sprint meeting a couple of weeks ago, the 2011 Micro Sprint rules have been finalized & posted on the ELSPEEDWAY.com website. "We really appreciate Jim McClain's hospitality, and are glad that he put together a meeting for the Micro Sprint division", said Frye. "We got some great feedback on the rules & I feel like we have a good rules package to promote Micro racing at ELS in 2011."

The 2011 tire rule for the Renegade division is till being finalized & will be announced in the near future. "We are very close to working out our tire rule for this year", said Parker. "Our goal is to be aligned with other local tracks so that our drivers can race at other venues & drivers from other tracks can race at ELS. If we can share cars with other tracks, we believe it will help continue to grow the already competitive Renegade division."

East Lincoln Speedway would like to thank the drivers & teams that attended the informational meeting on January 2nd to discuss the possibility of a regular Limited Late Model division at the racetrack. The track was able to come away with some great information for down the road. There will not be a Limited Late Model division racing regularly the track in 2011, but the information from the meeting will be saved and possibly be considered at a later date.
