East Lincoln Speedway is introducing a new feature to our website called "21 Questions." The goal of the new feature is to allow our fans to get to know the great personalities that race at East Lincoln more personally.

For our first feature, I sat down with 2010 Renegade Division Champion Steve "Steve-O" Newsome

10.) If you were stranded on a desert island and had to bring 3 books with you, which ones would you bring?

My Bible, Stock Car Magazine, and a Book of Matches (Laughs)

11.) You talk about the fans a lot and are definitely a fan favorite. Can you comment about the ELS Fans a little?

“East Lincoln Speedway has the best fans of anywhere I have ever seen, so dedicated and die hard...My main goal is to make em’ all smile...”

12.)What inspires the various objects on your roof each week?

“Makin folks smile...”

13.) Favorite thing to do other than race? “Build race cars”

14.) If there was one thing you could do differently about this past season, what would it be?

“Not a thing it was awesome...”

15.) Favorite driver to watch?

“Bishops [Billy and Luther] 3 and 33 [in the Renegade Division]”

16.) Are there any current or past racers you would compare yourself to?

“No sir, I am just a race fan who got lucky...I got a chance to drive...”

17.) Do you have any unfulfilled racing dreams/ future plans?

“My dreams are complete...Win a race, win a car show, win a championship”

18.) What was your worst wreck ever?

“I flipped an arena car end over end 6 times...Came back to finish second that night...They awarded me crash of the year at the banquet...”

19.) What made you want to get into racing?

“I use to help Bryan Robinson #50r and Keith Bowman #50...I gave it up until Ronald Pope 11 got me back into it”

20.) What’s on your iPod?

Avenged Sevenfold, Fiction, Jim Croce, Rapid Roy Charlie Daniels, Stroker Ace and a lot of Mercy Me and Casting Crowns
