THE EVENT
POCOLA, OK (June 2nd, 2018) – The American Sprint Car Association (ASCS) Red River Region sprint cars invaded the might Tri-State Speedway this past weekend. Mid 90-degree temperatures greeted the fans as they made their way to their seats. With temperatures hot all week, the slightly cooler temps after sunset, along with the unexpected wind from the north, made for a more pleasant racing experience.
The pre-race ceremonies started just before 8:00 PM on Saturday night with the invocation followed by the national anthem as cars presented the nation’s flag around the speedway.
Heat races, for the regular TSS classes, were determined by the driver’s draw at sign in. The classes advanced to their features heads up with an invert redraw. The ASCS sprint cars advanced to their feature via passing points along with an invert draw.
At intermission, 50/50 money was given away as everyone had a chance to grab themselves some food items from the concessions along with an ice-cold Pepsi product.
TOP THREE

You can find the simple rules on our website, at www.Tri-StateSpeedway.com, under Driver Info and then Rules.
