201 Speedway Prepares for a History Making 31st Season of Operation in 2014

SITKA, KY - 201 Speedway track owner Jarrod Breeding and promoter Tony Sturgill are excited as anticipation continues to build toward the 2014 racing season at the Eastern Kentucky 3/8 mile red clay oval.
Officials with 201 Speedway are proud to announce the launch of a completely revamped 201Speedway.net. The new site has been designed to make navigation easier for the viewer, along with some great new features! With the first practice date just weeks away, 201 Speedway is gearing up for what can only be described as the biggest season yet in the 31 year history of the track. The Super Late Model division will headline the track’s racing program each with numerous marquee events also on tap. In 2014, the track will host its first ever $10,000 to win event for the Super Late Models. The World of Outlaws Late Model Series will visit 201 Speedway on May 16 for the first of two $10,000 to win shows in the 2nd Annual Moonshine Runners 50.
The Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series will cap off a triple header Independence Day weekend on July 5 with the 2nd Annual Hatfield & McCoy Feuding 50, also paying $10,000 to win. The Old Man’s Garage Spring Nationals Series will return to 201 Speedway on April 17 for the Inaugural Johnny Salyer Memorial paying a $4,000 top prize. The Open Wheel Modified division will compete in the Inaugural Thunder in the Mountains paying an impressive $1,500 to win on August 2.
The Open Wheel Modifieds will play the brides maid roll on August 2 with the Inaugural Coal Show 50 paying $5,000 to win for Super Late Models also being held that night. The Bomber Division will take center stage next to the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series on July 5 in the 2nd Annual Bill McCloud Memorial paying $1,000 to win. The Four Cylinder division will also have their turn in the spotlight with the $800 to win Inaugural Rumble in the Mountains on May 16.
