Our Claim To Fame: Marshfield Motor Speedway is a half-mile asphalt oval constructed by Jim Langreck. Located in Marshfield, WI, the land was originally purchased 1972. After five years of work Langreck opened the track as a half-mile clay oval in 1977. The largest undertaking by far was the paving of the track in 1995 for the start of the 1996 racing season. Since that time Marshfield Motor Speedway has brought the thrill of high-speed asphalt racing to the fans of Central Wisconsin. The wide progressively banked half-mile with sweeping turns will again feature Super Late Model action from May through September. In addition to an exciting weekly racing program, Marshfield Motor Speedway hosts a Fall Shootout in the middle of September each year. The two day event showcases numerous divisions taking to the high speed oval. For those fans who enjoy metal mangling mayhem, look no further than the Eve of Destruction programs, featuring crazy stunts and novelty racing events of every variety.
