Williams Grove Speedway “Run What Ya’ Brung” Season Finale Is Friday!

Special, Rare Event For 410 Sprints & Super Late Models Will Close 2015 Season

10/4/15

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Mechanicsburg – Williams Grove Speedway will wrap up the 2015 season this Friday night, October 9 at 7 pm with a rare “Run What Ya’ Brung” super sprint and super late model season finale event.

The 410 sprints will race for $3,800 to win and $400 to start while the super lates vie for $2,000 to win and $150 to start their respective feature events.

The event promises to be a special one with the playing field opened back up to the ingenuity of both drivers and mechanics alike.

It will be interesting to see just what mechanical if not visual modifications are produced for the special race.

For the sprint cars, there will be NO weight rule, NO tire rule, cockpit adjustments WILL be permitted, and ANY type of spoilers, wings or sideboards may be used.  However, engines must comply with the current Williams Grove Speedway motor specifications and limits.

For the super lates, there will be NO weight rule, NO tire rule, NO engine rule and ANY type of spoilers, wings or sideboards may be used.

However for both divisions, overall general rules still apply such as: all expected and normally used safety equipment must be maintained and subject to race tech officials inspection, no radios may be used, no mirrors may be used, cars may not exceed normally allowed noise levels, and any modifications to machines must not hinder visibility to drivers approaching from behind.

The top 12 drivers who qualify for each feature event will draw for main event starting positions.

A $250 prize for the best appearing car in each division at the show will be awarded courtesy of BMJ Property Maintenance.  The top three finishers in each division will also receive a free box of pop rivets courtesy of KRS Graphics.

The Williams Grove portion of the 50/50 drawing at the season finale will be donated to the cheerleading squad of Northern High School.

Adult general admission for the season finale is just $15 with youth ages 13 – 20 admitted for just $10.

And please remember, kids ages 12 and under are always admitted free at Williams Grove Speedway.
